So Long Preschool

This is Anthony's last week at preschool. Yeah! It is located in such a sketchy area of town I just hate bringing him there. We will miss his teachers, therapists and friends. He has only one friend that will join him at his new school. Her name is Grace, she has Down's also. She is sooooo cute! Next week my boy will ride the bus for the first time and I will cry, no doubt. Yeah to Anthony for a great job at preschool and showing us all how wonderfully smart he is! Watch out Fairview (the new school) Anthony Seddon is on his way and will steal your heart!!!

Nanny 911

The other night I was able to catch an episode of one of my favorite shows, Nanny 911. I love this show because it makes my life seem simple and easy. This episode was mostly about a family with 4 boys that are continously in front of the TV, playing video games, or physically fighting. The dad is an ER Doc and has had to stitch them several times and he sees nothing wrong with this. The mom, bless her soul, is a stay at home mom and just ignores most of it until she can't any longer. Now I admit I have used the TV for babysitting and my children are not angels; however, video games and violence is a big No No! There are no toy guns in my home and I cringe at water guns also. We dont crash cars or fight with toy people. We don't wrestle. We do have tickle fights and love to kick soccer balls in the house! This leads me to yesterday morning when I was dropping Anthony off at preschool. I was on the floor playing with Ant and 2 other boys with a bucket full of all sorts of plastic animals. While Ant and I were picking out our favorites and naming them, the 2 other boys were continuously trying to make the animals fight. I guess this hit a sore spot and this is why I am posting this on the blog. Is this a "normal boy" behavior? Are the boys in this world just instictually fighters? My only boy is not and I am so greatful. Dont get me wrong he definetly loves to hit and push his sister, but he has never tried to fight with toys and pretend to shoot a gun. Holland is a very beautiful place!! :)

Torture

We are off to go school shopping for the 12 year old. I dread this... there will be yelling and tears. Even if I bought her everything she wants it will not be enough.....ugh! Wish me luck.
