Anthony was in his very first swim meet for the special olympics today! His first event was the mixed 15yard freestyle with a floatation device. He was very hesitant to enter the pool; however, was all smiles when finally in the water. Chris was video taping from the finish end of the pool and Abi and I were running along side the pool cheering him on. Pepere was in the stands yelling his loudest. The buzzer rang and the swimmers were off... Ant was smiling and waving to us while swimming. He turned in circles a few times looking for Pepere and finally made it to the finish! And Yes He Won 1st Place!!! :) The second event was 25yards (the entire length of the pool) freestyle with a floatation device. He was equally amazing and soooo happy to win 1st Place again! We cried tears of joy! I am soo proud!

The ribbons were presented by the city police officers, there were several. Anthony had to "high five" all of them!
